Origins

I am a spiritual being who had forgotten itself,
Forgotten my very nature,
I was only aware of the shadows of my true being.
This physical existence through which my true self conveys meaning
Turned out to be both the trap and the means of transcendence
For my spirit to return to the place I now know as home.
And there I found that humanity, each and every one of us,
Is immensely more than we could ever possibly imagine,
But no more than we believe ourselves to be.
