Discovering the Path Few Have Traveled

I do not have much money
There's nothing special in my deeds
I am just a simple person
With very few needs

With a Love I was born
It was a seed buried deep within
It took a long time to find it
Through all of civilization's din

I grew up around greed and anger
These things are known to many
I've seen war and battle
But I wish I hadn't seen any

For bickering and fighting
These are childish things
Grown-ups should know better
They should strive metaphorically to grow wings

But their greed knows no bounds
Their wants grow ever more
They'll take from all there is
till there isn't any more

But our behavior isn't set in stone
There are other ways
We can live in harmony with nature
Instead of the way we do today

This Love that resides within us
It can grow beyond all bounds
And encompass more than just ourselves and humanity
It is true, it is what I've found

For we are the missing link
The one by our own actions removed from the chain
And stopped our own spiritual evolution
And shut down most of our brain

For you must stop and think
About everything you do
Allow your thoughts and deeds to flow from the heart
It's a more natural thing to do

Then there will be heaven on earth
And an all encompassing Love will be the best part
It is better we grow together in Love
Than to tear our world apart
